47. Task 8 – post you8r video on youtube and facebook accsess the insight part of the site and assess how many people have viewed your video where you are from ect on facebook ger youy friends to leave feedback also film your classmates giving feedback on your film and post this

  • I sent this video to my friends and published it on facebook this is the feed back I received
  • I really liked the different angles and the actors that you used, they made the film interesting and it looked like a real film noir. well done guys! x
  • really like the angles and blurred effects. the sound and music was good, especially liked the part when shamil moved his head. didnt fully understand the story line? huw and iona were together… huw shot iona? who was shamil? really good tho.
  • I really liked the angles especially during the dancing bit. I liked the way that parts where out of focus or just focusing on one object in the shot. The music recalled added to the understanding of the storyline and gave it a great effect! Well done!
  • I like the whole dramatic side of it.. The music suited the film really well.. I agree with Izzy that it is hard at first to understand exactly what the storyline was but the different shots were great and the focused and unfocused shots were good too! Overall really really good! Love the ending!
  • it’s really good, I thought the burning cigarrette on the floor on silent walk looked really good and music worked really really well, it looked really well done, I loved the shot of huw/shamil (i couldn’t tell?) where it was like a silhouette and he was smoking, looked really good. I wasn’t sure about the shot of iona dancing alone, she looked more like she was taking a selfie than dancing with huw? and who was shamil? But overall there were some really great shots and it was really well edited.
  • I really like the camera angles, especially the dance scene! I also love the scene of Shamil with the shadow of the smoke at the end! Really good though!
  • The trailer looks great, very suspenseful. Makes me want to see the whole film! I  particularly liked the ending. Great music and feeling of mystery; on the dark side. I want to know what happened/will happen next. You’ve left me hanging with great effect………
  • Really dramatic I loved the ending with the whole smoking shadow thought it was really effective.
  • Overall I really enjoyed watching this piece I think the different shots fit perfectly and the scenery and costumes reflect film Neil beautifully

46. Task 7- looking back at your preliminary task, what do you feel you have lernt in the progresion from it to the full product?

who: we did this exercise together

what: looking back at your preliminary task, what do we feel we  have lernt in the progresion from it to the full product

why: to explain what we have learnt

how: Me and Emma wrote the script and max on the left hand side helped read it out for the video

45. Task 6- what have you learnt about technologies from the process of constructing this product?

I have learnt that through my time doing this assignment technology has dramatically changed over the years. For example I have learnt how to use WordPress a blogging site You Tube, I movie and UK tribes.

By using I movie I have learnt how to edit a film cropping measurement in light and make the film black and white.

Microsoft word I used this to set out drafts on what to write on my blog and then after I have wrote it on word I would copy and paste it on my blog.

with You Tube I have learnt how to post a video get comments and act on those comments to make my film better.

With Word Press I have learnt how to create a blog and post them with enough detail in.

for power point I have used putt all of my information about the exam and also what I was going to film and how I was going to do this by studying the different types of characteristics.

Over all I have learnt a lot about how to make a film using different forms of technology such as working a camera light tripod our generations technology has improved a lot since the first films were made.

point 38

  • Shot- scene 1: Was taken the first time we found out this shot was too dark so  we decided to change the brightness to a brighter pitch in order to recognise more of what is in the scene.
  • Shot- scene 2: However, the change in brightness of the same shot still wasn’t clear enough so we had to change the shot all together.
  • Shot- scene 3: This made us change the entire scene in order to improve in quality of the resolution, composition, Mise-en-Scéne, make it brighter and more recognisable. We changed the entire composition and added the smoke getting blown out of the villains mouth which can be seen in the falling shadow on the left hand sided wall. The choice reshooting the scene made the full mysterious Film Noir atmosphere possible.
  • Shot- scene 4: This was the first shot we took of Iona as you can see this is out of focus and dull.
  • Shot- scene 5: We decided to re shoot this shot now its much clearer and fits more in our film.
  • Shot- scene 6: This was the first shot we took of the shadow representing the detective, as you can see tis is our of focus and dull.
  • Shot- scene 7: we decided to re shoot this shot now its much clearer and fits more in our film.

This is MEM final edit with a very small amount of changes being made to finish to how we wanted it to be. I.e. we have reduced the soundtrack volume, added more titles and changed there fonts  in most scenes, changed the scene to a brighter scene so more objects such as the gun and cigarettes can be recognise. The photos above are another example of Shamil sitting in the chair in the cellar in the dark. In the first edited scene, the viewer could barely recognise what objects is supposed to be expressed in that seen. Despite, the purpose of the scene to be sinister and scary, the contrast between Shamil sitting on the chair and the background had to be done more intense by re-filming the scene and by making the room slightly brighter.

who: I did this exercise myself

what: I took a screen shot of each photo before and after

when: after making our film

where: through my class time and during prep work

how: by taking a shot of each picture

why: I did this to show what we had changed
